Privacy Policy

The short version

This website has no accounts, no cookies, and no cross-site tracking. We count page views in aggregate, and that is the whole list. We built our products local-first because we think your data should stay on your machine, and we run the website the same way.

Visit counting

We measure traffic with Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, aggregate counter run by our host. It records that a page was viewed, not who viewed it. There is no persistent identifier: visitors are deduplicated by a temporary hash that expires within 24 hours, after which nothing links one visit to the next. No cookies are set, no fingerprinting is performed, and nothing follows you to other sites. We see totals and trends (“the playground got 300 views this week”), never individuals. What you type in the playground is not part of it; see below.

The playground

Everything you type in the playground is parsed and executed by JavaScript running in your browser. Flows are never transmitted to us. When you use the Share button, your flow is compressed and encoded into the URL fragment (the part after #); browsers do not send URL fragments to any server, ours included. A shared flow exists only in the link itself and on the machines of the people you send it to.

One exception, clearly marked in the interface: the optional “Load the full embedder” button downloads a machine-learning model file from a third-party content delivery network. That download request goes to the third party and is subject to their logging. The model then runs locally; your text still never leaves your browser.

Hosting logs

The site is served by Vercel, our hosting provider. Like nearly all web hosts, Vercel keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) to operate the service. We do not enrich, resell, or build profiles from these logs. Vercel’s handling of that data is governed by their privacy policy.

When you contact us

If you email or call us, we receive what you choose to send. We use it to respond to you and for no other purpose. We do not add you to mailing lists you did not ask for.

Our products

Our applications are local-first: study progress, lesson state, and your work product stay on your own device. Where a product is sold through an app store or payment processor, that transaction (name, email, payment details) is handled by the store or processor under their terms; we receive what we need to deliver the purchase and honor the refund policy, and nothing more.
